English Language Challenges

Hello bloggers: This is a last blog. We are the end of year and also, we are finishing the English subject. Doing the blog weekly help me to improve my vocabulary, grammar, and my fluency in English, however I lack many things to improve. I think to do blogs is a good idea to in the subject because we can practice things learned and reinforce our knowledge.

I have never used a blog before, and I think isn`t used by people. Apparently is mostly used as an informative and serious tool.

I have to learn a lot about English language. I have a good command to few words and my tongue is clumsy when I speak English. The reason my slowness at English is because in the school I don’t receive a good education in respect to English, for that reason is necessary for me reinforce my study with more grammar, to write a lot and discover new word in English and the pronunciation of this, and especially practice and practice, because it is the only method for master the language; watch movies in English, listen to music in English, read in English is very helpful.

Actually the career requires a lot of English because many texts of investigation, information and other are written in English and unfortunately the best information is in English and for that reason is very necessary to know the language and is very useful for when we are professional, besides knowing English will be an aid in our curriculum to find a work in the future.

Changes to my study program

Hello!! What I know is that the old program was more difficult, the faculty change this in 2012. In actual program of studies is based on skill and supposedly this must be calm and this would require  less study hours, however  I must dedicate a long time to study and the class schedules are generally from 9 AM to 6 PM .

In this career is very common graduate in six or seven years. But I hope to graduate in five years and until now I am doing it right.

I have had the following subjects : Mathematics I and II, English I II III and IV, Chemistry, Physics, Statistic I and II, Plant Formations, Biometrics, Biotics, Climatology, Soil Science, Geomorphology, Tree Growth and Development, Role of Forest Engineer, Personal Development, oratory, Genetics, forest products and services , and some others.

I think that subjects like physical, Personal Development and oratory should be removed to actual program, and chemistry should be dictated only one semester.  A lot of my free time  is occupied in the studies and schedules in the evening  make me very tired.

The university campus is very beautiful and peaceful. It is very spacious and it has many green areas. Some rooms are very hot but in general it is a very pleasant place. A couple of times the room is very small for all students, but they are single cases. 

Some subjects I have liked a lot, such as biotics, growth, tree development, forest services and processes and interactions in plant formations, but I would like that  these classes to be more practical, I think it is very necessary.

Summer Holidays

Hello bloggers!! I have a lot expectations for holidays, I want to travel with my family and I have a special trip whit my boyfriend, really, We have been planning this  for a long time, but  the university, the little time, money, etc have been impediments for our trip. Therefore my boyfriend and I all the year along have collected money to travel in the summer. We want travel to La Araucanía; I would like know the beautiful places and landscapes, National Parks, and the majestic Araucaria. Also I would like travel for this places in rainy days because I love the rain and could, this would be great!!  Besides I love taste new foods for me, traditional dishes from this zone because go to restaurant (or similar place)  is a great moment for share with my boyfriend, also we share this pleasure, I hope everything is will perfect.

Also for summer my brother wants to travel same places with me and my parents in the south of Chile with my parents and me in familiar trip.  The idea is begin from our house in pickup truck and visit some places, towns, beachs, etc, while advance to our final destination: Valdivia. My brother plans to visit Lota, Saltos Del Laja, Radal Siete Tasas, Temuco and other places that we will improvise as we advanced to our final destination. Apart from all  this I hope do many more things, I hope to enjoy my summer to the fullest!!

Astronomy

Hello bloggers!! Today I will talk about Astronomy.   

First:  Astronomy is the study of celestial objects like sun, moon, gas, and other non-earthly bodies and phenomenon. The astronomers are unable to observe a system entirely from birth to death; the live of celestial bodies span millions to billions of years. 

Really I don’t like this topic. I only see stars and moon in the night.  The outer space causes me a tittle suspicion and fear because it’s infinite and the infinity is difficult to understand. The universe has a lot of planets, meteorites, moons, stars, dust, black holes, comets, and mysteries that will never be solved.  Outside ( in the space) exist  a lot of  illogical phenomenon for human`s mind because our planet is different  to Outside, the time is different, the gravity is different,  the sound is different… Also in the infinity of universe the life existence in other planets is sure and this life could be very different, for these reasons I have mistrust and respect to universe.

 The top of Roble`s mountain (in Caleu) has an abandoned observatory. This observatory belongs to Universidad de Chile.  Really I don`t know reason this observatory doesn`t  operate in the present  but I think that the sky  in Caleu is beautiful and good place to explorer the university.

My boyfriend always talk me about the university and is the only opportunity that it,s interest  because He talk me in a very entertaining way.  Bye! 

Postgraduate Studies

Hello! Today start a new week and with the energy maximum!. I will speak about the postgraduate studies!!
I would like to do postgraduate studies because thus I will have more knowledge, I could specialize in areas that are interest to me and I could to be an excellence´s professional. But first I  I would like to rest for a time of studies.

  I would like to do postgraduate in areas referred to conservation and native forest restoration, ideally study magister in Wild areas and Nature Conservation at Univeridad de Chile. The nature in Chile are very special, unique and fragile, therefore I think it is very important and necessary care and dedication to the Chilean ecosystems.
 I would like to study in any country like Autralia, Canadá or New Zelan and live for a couple of years in this countrie, work and add experience and money to come back to Chile and help in investigations and studies to help to care chilean invironment, besides I want to help in my hometown because the environment situation in it is not the best, due contaminant companies, deforestation and little awareness on the part of the people, I feel the responsibility to help and hope in the future to be able to do so.
I would like to study a part- time course because I think that live classes are very important for good learning. Also I would like can to  work and study at the same time.

My Future Job!

Hello bloggers!! I will talk about my future job. When I was in basic education, my dream was study Speech and Language Pathology, kinesiology or Obstetrics and Child Care, for a time my tendency was the medicine careers. When I was in fourth year of secondary school I started to doubt about my future, because in my options were for work in a hospital or a school and the idea was not to my liking, and I started to find out about careers bound to nature and free air because I was feeling that to work between four walls was not mine. At the end of this year I do the PSU, and finally I decided postulate to Forestry. 

 For the moment the career I really liked and I hope work outside to Santiago, in a quiet place, I would like work in conservation and restoration to native forest. Also I have many ideas to help the nature around my hometown because I feel to help a lot to the people and the nature with my knowledge. With my work I hope to know many beautiful places in Chile and abroad because I love traveling. But above everything I hope to enjoy my work a lot. In the future I would like to learn many things about the nature and its secrets.

National Parks.

The national parks are very amazing and beautiful, but them are important because this places the nature and biodiversity is protect. I love visit this places because I can enjoy the beautiful landscapes, flora, fauna, the fresh air, the quiet and the harmony. 

I had visited some parks; “Parque Nacional Puyehue”, "Parque Nacional La Campana", “Parque Nacional Hornopiren” and “Parque Nacional  Alerce Andino”. The Last it`s amazing! It is located in province of Llanquihue, in the south of Chile, I knew this park in the university`s practice, the last summer. The trail inside the park was difficult but be worth walk it. The experience was fantastic, in this place I knew the Alerce trees more bigs and long-lived to see. In the final to trail was a lake very beautiful named “Laguna Fria”, and really this was very cold.  Also I know south of Chile`s plants, such Medallita, Botellita, Mañio Hembra, Tineo, Coihue, Tepa, Tiaca and others.

In the summer I will know “Parque Nacional Nahuelbuta” with my boyfriend, I would like know the Araucaria Araucana, this tree is native to Chile and Argentina and it is a natural monument. The people have eaten the seeds for a thousand years. I am very excited to know that beautiful place!

Films

Hello people!!  Today I will talk about the films, really only in some opportunity I watch movies with dedication, generally I dedicated my free time in other activities but I enjoy go to cinema with my boyfriend to watch a movie  occasionally or stay  in my house seeing any movie  that appears on my way. My interest to watch movies are too much assorted. I can enjoy of the animated film like “Shrek”, “Megamind” or “Rango”, the last my prefer film in this kind. Or also I enjoy movies like “Interstellar”, “Forrest Gump” or “Relatos Salvajes” or “Twenty years a salve”.  Also I see the action movies like “Kill Bill”, Now I remember other like “La vida de Adele” and “Stonehead Asylum”.  Really I am diverse.

The sad movies emotional me easily, for this reason I avoid as much as possible but in the same way I like this.  With the terror films I feel the same, for me is a horrible watch terror movie, this scare me. And the suspense I can watch only whit more people and in the day.  Although the movies are not my passion with this I enjoy this so much and whit this I can share whit my family, friend and mi boyfriend especially.
